The Goings on in a Young Family

Last Thursday was "Take Your Child to Work Day." Stuart's company paid for all the employees and their children to go to the Science Museum in Hartford. Stuart said that Thula had a great time. And she really loved the red tee-shirt she got. She wore it to school and to bed.

Looking at the Connecticut River

Thula said her favorite part was the 3D movie about sea creatures in Africa.

We went to our local 'Daffodil Fesitival' and Thula chose to get her face painted like a tiger. She could have been an extra in the Lion King!

This is for you mom, Lame Deer High School Rocks!

Yep, you saw that correctly, Lela is walking with a broken arm. Last Tuesday while I was folding laundry on my bed she fell off of it and broke her arm right above her right elbow. It was a very sad day, but she is doing better. Because it is difficult for her to crawl she is learning to walk now. She takes very robotic steps, but she is so proud of herself and is such a little darling.

She loves balloons

I caught her playing with the phone yesterday. It's funny that she already knows what to do with it. She'll talk into it and then hand someone the phone and wave bye-bye.

Since turning one she has started to put up a stink about going to bed, but she still gets very sleepy (I would to if I had to sit and watch kung-foo movies with Stuart:-)

As soon as Bob saw the photo of Thula looking at the CT river, he said, "I know exactly where that is!" Thula's teeth are perfect for the tiger face, and poor Lela walking before she was ready!Everyone looks so cute, even Stuart in his glasses... miss you all

That's so sad that Lela broke her arm! I'm glad that she is learning to walk though! That's so fun that Thula got to go the work with Stuart for the day!

Hahaha, I love it! Thanks for posting. What a great way to spend "Take your kid to work day", that's so generous. Lela looks like such a cutie with her little cast. Maybe she'll grow up to be a kick-a kung-foo fighting chick all thanks to Stuarts influence:)

Aw poor Lela! She doesn't seem too uncomfortable with it. Hopefully it heals fast for her. What a fun day for Thula to hang out with Dad. I know my kids always love it when they get a special one on one day with a parent.
