Bubbles and Hair

Bubble fun

I wanted some pictures of Lela's cute new hair style

She won't let me take her picture again

But I do just love the chubby brown hands! I wanna smother them with kisses and make little fudge tootsie rolls out of them

"Look at me mom! I'm a big girl now."

More Hallowed Fun

Thula's is the monster and I made the kitty

Lela took a little nap in the warm autumn sun.

Dinner in a pumpkin! Note: never eat a white pumpkin-they are only for decorating I learned.

Trick-o-treat!

The goodies-Lela is too busy digging in to bother with the camera

Hermione, Professor Dumbledore, and a salem witch!
Our first Halloween in Louisville was a lot of fun. The neighborhood gets really into it and there were plenty of kids roaming about.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from Hermine Granger and Miss Kentucky Pioneer! (Grandma Bea made Thula's Gryffindor cape)

I pinned the Gryffindor emblem on the back of the cape from off the good ol' internet.

Lela giving me her scary sugar face

Louisville 4th Ward kids

Lela waiting so patiently with her little balloon while Thula sticks her hands in something icky and scarrrry.

The next morning we found frost (at least we aren't in CT where they are expecting a foot of snow already!)

Camping at O'Bannon State Park, Indiana

Our new tent!

Just me and my girls! Believe it or not these are the clothes we went to sleep in and we still froze (35 degree night)

Lela woke up about midnight crying that she was cold. I brought her up onto the air mattress with me and she spent the rest of the night kicking off the blankets.

Rolling in the mud

Thula managed to shirk most of the work and cozied up to the fire with some hot chocolate.

Stuart working like a dog. Our stake did a service project at O'Bannon State Park in Corydon, Indiana. The youth of the stake frequenlty use this park. We cleared a lot of brush! It was a tiring day, but we had fun.

Stuart in his "mormon helping hands" shirt. So cute! Thula in her 'number1' shirt.

I chaperoned the kids at the nature center. We learned how to finger weave (Thula said that was her most favorite thing about the camping trip) and leaf painted. We also went on a nature hike, learned about blacksmiths, visited an 1850's cabin and pet some very friendly cows.

Lela loves animals and we hung out with the cows. He kept licking my hands. I never new cows had such rough tongues!

Hiking at Bernheim State Park-I don't know how Beatrice carried that thing on her back. I almost died after 20 minutes

Stuart had this shirt made for Thula. It has his soccer logo on the front. It is her new favorite shirt.
